   @jeffcliff the websites for courses at harvard, mit et al. are publically available, as are the textbooks and often lecture slides and assignments.
   
   granted, if you don't study at one of these institutions, you won't get the benefit of a professor who has the TAs do all the grading and feedback.

     This is right up there with the people michael harrington complained about "like everyone else I had an education at harvard/yale" no, sadly most people in the world do not get a chance to get that kind of education, even with the internet to assist us.
