     He never describes the act itself though, so no one knows for sure. In fact, most sex practices weren't really cataloged until the the end of the Dark Ages / beginning of the Renaissance.

     @Humpleupagus @WhiteJihadJaws When I was a kid my cultural marxist dad just assumed Greeks had pederasty and faggotry up until they became Orthodox, so it honestly doesn’t surprise me that the accounts from the Symposium didn’t leave much of an impression.

     I just figure that pre-Christian cultural norms and mores didn’t line-up 100% with Christian ones prior to the Incarnation - and faggotry is at least as old as Sodom and Gomorrah so its rearing its ugly head at times in the Ancient World isn’t terribly surprising
