     @genmaicha from what I understand the current conjugation of “to be” has a lot of Norse influence. Maybe I read to much in the similarity between “you are” and “du är”

     @genmaicha I was awhile back, took a real liking to it. It’s like a much more sensical version of English although unless you have a penchant for picking up similar sounding words or know German, it doesn’t sound the same at all.

     @awl nice. I tried in high school and didn't get very far. unless you enjoy memorizing, the only way to get good at it is probably reading a shit ton. incidentally I've got a book on old norse and it's really similar.
