@SIC_Guy@minespatch the tldr: faggotry masquerading as opposition to the system which brutalizes mankind in the name of profits and materialism.
No change is truly desired by the DSA. They just want to be the people in charge handing out the doles instead of Wall Street. No elevation of the common man is envisioned and his own economic independence from the great all encompassing system—just a red-dildoed rebranding.
@SIC_Guy@minespatch A guy who makes his own shoes is more of a threat to the economic and moral order than any DSA faggot. They try to trip people up by proposing reasonable solution to some issues, eg. nationalization of the defense industry, certain labor safeguards, etc., but their messaging is made by and for listless bourgeoisie and sexual degenerates and that's how they'll act, as these types always do.
@skylar@SIC_Guy@minespatch@wgiwf they need to understand that the whole 'bootstraps' argument is out of touch BS. but they are heading in into retirement, so their is no reason for them to examine their bootstraps
@wgiwf@SIC_Guy@minespatch the older folks on the right need to understand how bad the situation is getting. all the supposed dehumanizing horrors of communism don't sound all that bad to young people. >you mean the government will just assign me a job? it's that easy? they'll just tell me where to show up for work the next morning? no more submitting a thousand applications to get 12 automated email rejections and 1 rejection after an "interview" with an AI bot?
Political cycles used to take between 10 and 20 years. However, the sudden popularity of 'social media' and the internet since 2008 now make it between 5 and 10 years. Not to mention that people stopped asking questions on who controls those early websites.
I am VERY concerned that the generations that are half my current age are so brain numb that they will accept these no-wit Commies without thinking about their future.
tldr ver:
I just wish I was smart enough to drop out of college and convince Rush in 2006 that pop culture was worth defending.
@SIC_Guy@minespatch You can blame the "right's" embrace of liberal economics on this situation entirely. If Marxists are the only ones in the room who will even critique our dehumanizing system then they cannot but gain traction. The timeframe in which people will play the bullshit back and forth game has diminished greatly. Pop culture plays a role but if one side cedes the argument the other will win by default. There is a lot to pick apart when it comes to the DSA worldview in much the same way they have gained traction but that would require meeting people at the point of the moral injustice of our current economic system and aside from Tucker there are few people on the "right" willing to do so.
All the words (correctly) spent attacking the lgbtq agenda are meaningless if you defend usury.
@Humpleupagus@SIC_Guy@minespatch@wgiwf the communists who think they're gonna be writing feminist poetry after the revolution are in for a way worse time than the kind who think they're gonna be assigned to an assembly line job at the Glorious Peoples' Gypsum Board Factory
I believe there are a lot more of the former than the latter on the bottom of that movement. The guys at the top know they'll just be commissars, and that the kids are just useful idiots.
@Humpleupagus@skylar@SIC_Guy@minespatch@wgiwf Reading through all that literature above that's the first thing that jumps out. Who the hell is going to actually *do* all that free labour? And why would I work for essentially free, for just a basic living allowance someone else decides for for me? No way. And most people will make that rational decision. And you get the old Soviet system back again.
