   A lot of proprietary software contains trackers that literally saves your current GPS coords from your phone when it connects to wifi and saves it in one of those stupid online geolocation IP databases forever ruining your IP address.

     @SuperDicq IP addresses are pooled among users in different places. Unreliable way of correlating address with location.
