     Tuesday morning #headlines recap

     Iran declared a named operation (Dark Night) against US air-defense systems and radars; overnight it hit Patriots, radars and HIMARS across Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. A US official told WaPo forces "do not have enough" air-defense and long-range munitions to safely sustain operations.

     CENTCOM announced it concluded another round of strikes against Iran at 9:00 p.m. ET on July 20, targeting military command centers, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems for the tenth consecutive night intending to degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Intending to degrade, but not actually degrading.

     Houthis announced an "eye for an eye" embargo on all Saudi shipping; Saudi crude that would no longer move through Bab el-Mandeb is put at 4.5M bpd, taking even more oil out of a strained supply. Cargo insurance premiums for Saudi Arabia reportedly up 380%.
