   I like watching videos of those guys that flip houses just cause I enjoy seeing different interesting houses.
   Drives me nuts how often they say "paint this white". Like, dude, not every kitchen cabinet in existance needs to be bland! Those pink bathroom tiles are super cute, fuck off with your "reglaze them in white".
   Just stop!

     @hellomiakoda When we lived in an apartment in Pdx, the Spousal Unit painted the kitchen green with a big fuck-off Velvet Underground banana in yellow; it was absolutely awesome. First thing the soulless bastards did when we moved to another unit in the same complex was to paint it all over in beige; the painters were coming in as we moved the last of our stuff out. I'm still fuckin' angry.

     @murdoc I hate mirrors (There's years of therapy needed there, lol), butt I LOVE little nooks and shelves to put things in! White walls as a canvas? Yes! Well, for other people to paint... I have no art skill.

     You might like my place then. Yeah, it's painted almost all white (except the kitchen cupboards which are I think marigold?), but the way it's been built, it has lots of built-in shelves and ledges to put stuff on and more mirrors than any place has a right to. And as a bonus, the people living here before me were artists who took all the whiteness as a canvas to paint their own embellishments on. It's really too bad that the place is so old that it's slowly falling apart and I need to get out of here. This place is quite unique and after me will only live on in photos. 😿
