   The last few years has been an interesting time in Singapore politics. The government has taken a ‘cash stimulus, everywhere, all the time’ approach.

   People are talking about cash vouchers all the time. I told my wife I’m annoyed at how much people talk about vouchers to me.

   Free money is always good, and I think this one in particular is a great idea.

   All citizens get $100 to spend on local books, music and theatre. I’m at a bookstore getting some local literature.

   Next month, most folks are getting $450-850 each.

     I’m also being harangued to use my other vouchers before they expire

     The widespread adoption of digital payment (facilitated by this free money) is pretty impressive. You can go to a hawker stall and use the vouchers to pay for your meal.
