Forget the conspiracy theories of the right (Pizza Gate, Hunter Biden's laptop, the Great Replacement...) and in particular of the left (U.S. fascism, the Tech Bros...) It's not about that. All the dissolution of the state, of oversight, of regulations, is not about establishing authoritarianism but about to facilitate self-enrichment, about creating not that much a system but a style of corruption in which the difference between "public policy" and "private venality" becomes impossible to be made.
