   ok I get it, women drivers, but this seems like a bit much even for Argentina, any comment on this argiebros?

   A pilot jumped out of the door of a moving plane to his death, leaving the student he was teaching to fly to land the aircraft by herself.

   Flight instructor Leandro Andrés Bertazzo, 42, was found dead following the incident, which took place in Toledo, central Argentina, on Saturday, according to a statement from the country’s public prosecutor, published Tuesday.

   Bertazzo was on board the Cessna 150 aircraft with a 22-year-old student named Rosario, CNN affiliate TN reported.

   The student said Bertazzo told her, “You know what you have to do, carry on,” before taking off his headset and seatbelt, opening the door and jumping out of the plane, TN reported.

     One possibility springs to mind: He had an affair with the student, and she threatened him with blackmail. He'd feel really cornered if he had really fallen for her (pun intended)

     He realized the student was female and assumed the plane would crash anyway.

     Still trying to wrap my head around why the instructor would suicide himself in flight with a student onboard...but it is not without precedent.

     A MESSAGE TO ALL PILOTS AND PILOT TRAINERS IN ARGENTINA

     FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF CHILE AND THE CHILEAN AIR FORCE

     The great General Augusto Pinochet was of course a great leader and singular exemplar for us all. We are honored that you choose to follow his example. That said, it has come to our attention that there may have been some misunderstandings of his legacy, which we would like to clear up:

     1. General Pinochet performed his actions to save the great country of Chile from helicopters, not fixed-wing aircraft. Helicopters can be identified by the fact that the whirly-thing is on top of the aircraft, not on the front.
     2. General Pinochet’s protocol calls for it to be the other person in the aircraft that is forcibly deplaned, not yourself. This is crucial to remember and make note of on all safety checklists. If you deplane yourself, then you will not be able to deplane more communists, which is counterproductive.
     3. Women are (contrary to popular belief) not automatically communists, and mid-flight disembarkation is almost never necessary to deal with their occasional foolish and leftward-leaning impulses. Frequently the only thing that is required is some semi-consensual sexual contact, along with mild ridicule. The most refractory cases may require light domestic violence. In almost no cases is the Full Pinochet Protocol necessary to deal with a woman, and is in fact wasteful as well as unkind. Use your penis instead. That is what it is for.
     4. Women should not be in a position of being the Pilot in Command of an aircraft in general. This is a public-safety issue. It is generally irresponsible to allow a woman to be control of an aircraft for any purposes other than brief sexual arousal for relief later (after the flight has safely landed) and then only with the male pilot retaining the full capability of controlling the aircraft in the event of any departures from proper flight procedures. To willfully abandon an aircraft to the control of a woman without any on-board male supervisor is an unconscionable public-safety hazard, and not what we have come to expect from the men of Argentina. Think of all the people she could have harmed had she crashed in a populated area! You must serve your populace, your sacred charge, and the global flying community with honor, airmen. Never forget this!
