   I'll have to strongly disagree on the "you can make more money and instead pay someone to do this", as the philosophy leads to rampant consumerism and a throwaway culture, and also a very strong disregard for the "people" who they pay to do things for them. Sure, there are things I cannot or will not do, but the philosophy leads to what the techbros are selling, which is "YOU DON'T NEED TO DO ANY OF THIS STUFF, YOU CAN JUST PAY US FOR ALL OF THIS ITS SO CONVENIENT, EXCHANGE YOUR BRAIN TO THE LLM" etc.

   So many people I know (so many) who cannot do a ***single thing*** themself, who can only buy stuff or pay someone to do something. Particularly as they move into the professional class. It's not an exception... it's a RULE. In fact, if you do stuff yourself, it's considered a character flaw. This definitely leads to a very large disregard for anyone who does anything with their hands or does any "manual labor or work". This is particularly true of the hundred-millionaire and billionaire class folks I know... they spit upon the workers of the world.

     @ai6yr @NilaJones It's like if you bike or take the bus to work in the US. Most people look at you like you're crazy, or assume that you're poor.
