It's gone gone, the data I actually wanted is irrecoverable. Main superblock is gone, replacing superblocks with backups fails with IO errors and btrfs restore can't piece what I wanted together due to zstd compression. Time to restore from 14 day old backups :)) -

Just in case btrfs rescue fucks it up even more (currently unmountable with a bad superblock 🙃)

@phnt@fluffytail.org Tip i use borg, which is a life saver, saved me multiple times, use it for all my servers now.
Borgmatic makes it super easy to use.
Make full VM backups automatically each week
And for my PC i use Vorta(Borg GUI) and do DD once a month of rootfs -

@xaetacore Yeah, I use borg as well, but it's not automated because I don't have a place to have a 24/7 running server at home currently. Probably should start paying for rsync.net :ablobnervous: It's the first time I actually needed to restore from backups in like 8 years I think, but it worked great (apart from missing /dev /sys /proc and ~/.cache/zsh which made zsh not remember history for some reason)
