     @KayOhtie @lexxy @HolosSocial I'm of the opinion that BlueSky deserves to "win" the popularity contest for folks that really want "old Twitter", so they can sponge up the people who will never get with the program.

     Meanwhile, Fedi should continue to grow independently of whatever Bluesky does. Eventually ATProto will enshittify (especially if the US gov intervenes), and they'll repeat this digital nomad samsara in search of clout and social capital.

     @soatok @lexxy Was actually just thinking if it was easier to address user@pds without requiring centralized lookup there could be an app that is functionally like social media handled RSS-style.

     ...but at that point you're just implementing ActivityPub again just maybe without being Masto-specific flavor of it, and that's... Basically @HolosSocial ?
