Dr. Sandra Duffy (drsandraduffy@mastodon.ie)'s status on Wednesday, 23-Nov-2022 22:57:37 JST Dr. Sandra Duffy A few more #gender words as #Gaeilge:
Gender itself is 'inscne.'
Transgender is 'trasinscneach.'
Cis is... just cis, afaik. Latin gonna Latin.
Agender is 'gan inscne.'
Queer is 'aiteach.'
If you want to say 'I am a trans man/woman/person,' you would say 'is fear/bean/duine tras mé.'
If you want to say 'I am nonbinary,' you would say 'tá mé neamh-dhénártha.'

A #nonbinary person is 'duine neamh-dhénártha' and a #genderqueer person is a 'duine inscne-aiteach.'
