   Some really bang-up UI from the team at Kickstarter.

   Kickstarter asks, “Will your project involve the development of Al technology or use Al content?”

   If you say no, but their team of reviewers thinks you *did* use AI, they require an explicit disclaimer.

   But the only place they accept such a disclaimer is if you answer yes and select “I am incorporating AI in my project another way.”

   And this isn’t me misunderstanding the form. This is what a Kickstarter rep explicitly told me to do.

     I would probably be less annoyed by this if I wasn't also about 99% certain the way they are deciding whether a project used AI is by assessing it using some sort of AI tool.

     @JMMaok Ha! I love it. I should have. And I may yet get the chance, because I have a feeling this interaction is not over.

     I did point out to them that requiring someone to say “yes, I used AI“ in order to certify that they did not use AI is not a good design. I haven’t received any feedback on that point yet.

     Did you ask them if the form was generated by AI? Whether they did their UX research with synthetic users? I might not have been able to help myself.
