   @radmin@limepeeps.perchinup.top Yeah, there is no such thing as a "free software monopoly" because literally anyone could fork it or write a replacement.
   
   But it does feel like a little like KDE is only usable desktop environment that's left nowadays though.

     @SuperDicq@minidisc.tokyo Free software monopolies are just everyone standardizing to one fantastic thing instead of duplicating work out of fear of a finanical incentive against user interests that doesn't exist in free software :acat_chips:
     
     We're not complaining about Blender, Krita, VLC, and OBS being the standard, after all :blobcat_shrug:
