#France #Mustard #Shortage update.
After months of no mustard on the shelves, this Slovakian mustard showed up. Even though I may or may not have a stash, I could not help but grab it.
Can't wait to find out what it tastes like !

Mustard seed is not that profitable to grow so people switched to wheat and now there's no mustard...

Oh one I forgot: Russia and Ukraine are big exporters of mustard seed. France used to produce some but there's a pesticide which was recently banned here and that made it less interesting to produce it locally.
As far as the curve, you're right of course, it just takes time for everything to re-shuffle, involving probably mustard becoming more expensive and less spicy so it requires less mustard seed.
