     No, but I'm certainly not going to defend the idea that I have to give up all my hopes and dreams to pay for my kid's poor financial decisions. Parents should provide an inheritance and support where necessary, but they aren't stuck pigs getting bled out over the altar of youth.
     If the OP had that college debt for a women's studies major, would you still applaud the boomer dad for paying for it?
