Democrats are selling you out
In California a bill was proposed that would have automatically lowered residents electric bills by 30%
Democrats killed the bill before it could get out of committee
If it had passed. SCE and PG&E would have still made a $3.8 billion profit
I verified this and it’s 100% true, here are the details
Assembly Bill 286 (AB 286), authored by Republican Assemblymember James Gallagher was introduced in the 2025–2026 session
It sought to require the California Public Utilities Commission to reduce electricity rates charged by major utilities, including SCE and PG&E, by at least 30% by January 1, 2028
The bill directed the CPUC to identify cost savings like cutting ineffective programs, reallocating climate credits into ongoing rate reductions
The bill died in committee, specifically held up in the Appropriations Committee or earlier policy committees
Democrats control the legislature and the committees, so they blocked it from advancing to a full vote
Who needs enemies when you have Democrats
