   I am working my way away from having a smartphone. They all suck. That number is used as a tracking ID.
   My goal is VOIP and carrying a small laptop. I'll get there.
   I'm attacking 1 cell phone need at a time.

     @masukomi I dowant to make and receive calls, and have access to synced calendar and stuff. I just want the reliable methods on Linux desktop. So, tiny laptop

     @hellomiakoda Why not just a phone with cell stuff disabled?

     My Google Pixel works great and has no phone number or cell service attached.
