     They immediately stopped producing RWD cars after that year and all the models became FWD shitboxes.

     @SuperDicq @notavi10 it's a big machine, like train. There's certain enjoyment from operating and moving something that is ten times bigger than you are, like piloting a giant robot.
     
     Another thing is the relaxing nature of just driving on a road calmly with occasional interruptions. Gives peace of mind and time to think.

     @SuperDicq @notavi10 there is (was?) Japanese map mod for ETS2 and I think like one or two Japanese trucks, but I don't remember how excessive you can customise them. I do remember a lot of chromed parts tho.
     
     Driving them tho? Nightmare. Narrow roads, complex road markings, schizophrenic navigation made worse by not knowing Japanese.

     @SuperDicq @notavi10 quite the opposite. America is more boring. Fucking endless deserts and prairies and badlands. Absolutely fucking nothing it the roadside. All roads are exactly the same. Monotony is only broken by artificial turns and occasional town you have to drive through. The only good parts are up in the north.
     
     In Europe every country has different road infrastructure, different road width, intersections/ramps/roundabouts/traffic lights and speed limits, you're mostly driving through forests, plains, fields, villages, lakes and rivers. And if you wanna play American Trucksim in Europe you just go to Iberian beninsula.
