   @artemis As a European/US dual citizen, I've come to realize a few things about the US.

   Most importantly, this place is a casino that's pretending to be a nation. Some people get incredibly lucky and win big, and almost all of them are convinced that they both deserve their winnings and that luck played no part in their success. Most do not get lucky. Many lose their shirt. They all go back for one more roll though. Double or nothing.

   And as with any good casino, the house always wins.

     I always block people doing the "as a European, I blame all Americans for the state of their country" schtick.

     Fuck off. I was born into a country under an oppressive government. Believe it or fucking not, there is no magic switch we can flip to make it good actually, & I didn't actually choose *any of this*.

     The privilege dripping from those shit-ass takes is unbelievable.

     "If I were a US citizen, I would simply fix the government." That's big talk with absolutely no supporting evidence.
