Editor’s note: here’s a quick summary of several top events: bond market is crashing, US/Iran diplomacy is dead, strategic oil reservers draining like shit through a goose, and the new fed chair is pretty much boxed in for a rate hike.

Simplicius reports that Zelensky has just announced that Russia is considering a new mass assault—possibly on Kiev—from Belarus. Presumably it’s the usual coke-fueled paranoia, but it sounds like a great idea - Russia needs to wrap this thing up. In other news there was a body exchange between combatants: 526 Ukrainian for 41 Russian. But trust us anon, Ukraine is totally winning.

China summit was all show, no go. China ordered fewer Boeing jets than expected, and declined to buy Nvidia H200 chips despite US approval — prefers domestic development. I guess they saw what outsourcing did to the US and decided not to repeat it.

Worldwide stocks took a beating yesterday. Korean KOSPI crashed 8.4% intraday after hitting new ATH of 8,000. Meanwhile The Hindenburg Omen, an indicator that correctly detected the 1987 and 2008 stock market crashes, triggered simultaneously on Wednesday for both the Nasdaq and the NYSE. Reality can only be defied for so long…

BlackRock private credit fund valuations being probed by DOJ. Somebody forgot to pay their tribute to the machine.

US Supreme Court rebuffs Virginia Democrats in bid for new voting map which eliminates Republican seats. Barely counts as good news.

New York magazine does a long story on the most unfortunate collapse of Little Ben Shapiro’s media empire. TLDR the kids aren’t buying his Israel-first bullshit unlike many of their “conservative” elders.
