   IT selling point has long ceased to be about helping people solve problems
   
   IT profiteers haven't stopped selling things, but the relevant, profitable features are no longer what the user wishes the tech to do, but what enables the vendor to take more from the users
   
   freedom-respecting tech could be an exception, but even among us there's too much imitation of the big abusers 😞
