@slowfallinward @cwebber Very true, though also keep in mind that bikes and trains can work well together! You can practically get much further from a station on a bike than on foot

Especially if you don't actually have to take the bike on the train and can rent another one cheaply and easily on the other end (e.g. https://www.ns.nl/en/door-to-door/ov-fiets)
