     @PNS what I’m saying is that straight hydrogen peroxide (3% usually works okay, 12% will definitely do a good job) will kill the core of the fungus, rather than just the surface fruiting bodies (which is what most anti-mold treatments do)

     aqueous copper sulfate also does a pretty good job of making things unfriendly for fungus

     a refrigerator is mostly plastic, so there isn’t too anything the fungus can dig deeply into (and you’re definitely doing the right thing by drying it out), but if it has roots anywhere in some surface, that will help get them out

     you should also defrost/dehydrate the freezer at the same time (there may be spores hiding out, and usually refrigerators get their cold air from the cooling coils in the freezer)

     @PNS TSP is the "phosphate" that used to be in nearly all cleaning products. The EPA banned their use in the 70s because TSP was causing problems in river runoff.

     My wife spilled a bottle of iodine on our white bathroom cabinets. I used a couple different agents, including hydrogen peroxide. Though in the end, exposure to air alone will usually turn it clear.

     @PNS they sell TSP Free in the boxed powder form here in US now, which is missing phosphates- although I might find the real stuff in a legit paint store.
