   I can see where you are coming from. Saying it so often sounds performative. Like telling people a reason others might understand. But the fact is while many people might have a conversion moment, many come to their climate awareness gradually and be motivated by a variety of factors.

   (P.S. - used the religious terminology deliberately :P)

     Tired of activists saying they first got involved with the #climate movement because of having kids or grandkids. It's giving the same energy as a father who suddenly becomes a #feminist because he is a #girldad. Not saying that's bad, btw, we need all the hearts and minds compassionate enough to change broken systems, but it insinuates that the childless (and youth themselves!) don't have a reason for caring for the #earth. Not everything is about your genetic legacy, Brandon. /rant over
