   Deep into Season 5 of #StarTrekVoy, watching with my son, and we still can't fathom the total lack of mental health care resources for the crew.

   Greiving over the deaths of friends back home? Go without starlight for 2 months? Grappling with violent impulses? Literally DIE and get resurrected through a medial miracle?

   The sole lever the crew pulls is "Neelix throws a party." Occasionaly, Tuvok does a mind meld.

     @avradi maybe they could have had a holographic therapist around the corner in whatever communal holodeck program was running at a given time. Stop by Sandrines, head upstairs and talk to someone.

     @derek I thought that, too recently. (Re-watching on TV, currently start of S5.)
     I assume their on-ship counselor was killed along with all the medical staff.
     The Emergency Doctor isn't meant for this, though he could improve his programming. He did diagnose Torres with a clinic depression, though he apparently neglected to treat it or inform her or her superiors what this means.
