   Google sets new 24-hour process to sideload unverified developers Android apps. That is right. Now you can't load apps without google's permission.      @nixCraft@mastodon.social Now you can't load apps without google's permission.Stop spreading lies about this. This only applies to Google's versions of Android. You can just install a version of Android that doesn't have Google's garbage and not have this problem.

     @nexussfan @nixCraft Replicant in fact doesn't patch out the signature check for apk's - if you want to modify an apk and reinstall it, it needs to have a signature.
