     I wouldn't say BDS was right in the past, but it is certainly now.

     Should we treat Israel like South Africa? Barely anyone got punished there and the regime change premise was peaceful.

     Can you imagine Netanjahu going free?

     But anyway, of course the state of Israel has a right to exist in peaceful form when the genocide ends.

     @klausi Oh, I wasn’t aware that apartheid South Africa still existed. Thought we’d dismantled it through boycotts, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) and overwhelming international condemnation and isolation.

     So you’re saying we should do the same thing to Israel?

     Sounds good to me.

     even the eco-socialist left party have that in their programme now and have now expelled the palestine solidarity fraction for being »damaging to the party.« 😒

     That's right. You're right... they love killing. Gaza now only occupies 40% of its original area, with the rest completely under Israeli control. Just imagine the suffering we endure in this cramped space.

     Personally I would love to see Israel returned to its pre-1967 borders, with its security guaranteed by international forces, and severe economic sanctions applied if it ever tried expansionism again. #NotGoingToHappen

     The corollary is an independent Palestinian state, but that wasn't even an afterthought. The point was to establish a strong European presence in the Middle East. The cop on the block who must never be found guilty, whatever they do. A continuation of the Crusades by other means. Both states should have been established at the same time in the name of natural justice.
