     @satsuma An admittedly rough timeline of events.

     Middle of last year, asked what would be a good instance to join for an alternate account. Either a character account or one just for polls that offered more choices. Was told Beige was a good choice.
     November/December of last year, finally applied for a Beige account. Got a basic email, was told I still needed approval for more access. Okay.

     @satsuma I forgot to say "please boost" in the post itself, but I make 1 or 2 replies to that effect, tell people how important this is to me. Boost it myself a few times, but don't want to go overboard. It closed yesterday. Not even as many votes as days, and fewer boosts.

     It's only partly about the poll itself. It's about how I thought Mastodon was all about supporting each other and helping if we could. At least that's always how I've felt here until fairly recently.

     @satsuma I was wondering how long I should wait before I looked elsewhere. Was told owner was sick. Understandable. Actually I think that may have still been last year. Again, not impatient, just curious.
     Last month, asked again for an alternative instance. Post got almost no notice.
     Then decided, I'm too excited about this. I'll make the poll here even if it's not quite as ideal as I'd like. Do it. Set it for a week, but then change it to a month hoping more people would see it. (cont
