     @f0x @bajax Oh, this one has interesting historical context too! It's not Russian. it's German, but the Volkswagen Golf was one of the first models off the line post-reunification with deep roots in pre-reunified Germany. It could get 45-50mpg with a 4 cylinder engine, there was a beach model with a retractable hard top that took up literally no space; I don't like many German cars but this one, this one I'm good with.

     @vii @bajax the bukhanka is cheap, the costs add on in possible repairs or upgrades and the obvious cost of shipping it to the US. Car + shipping to US is ~$15,000-17,000, unsure about costs beyond that because it's a lot of "depends"
