     @knapjack with software licenses, we usually accept the word of the contributors and upstream developers, with occasional fixes when some copy-and-paste code gets found in the repo. Why couldn't that work for AI contributions too? Like, mostly trust what upstream says.

     Out of curiosity, I did some digging. Probably the first time it was possible was somewhere around June 2020: https://www.timesofai.com/industry-insights/gpt-version-timeline/
     
     After that point, the question really is, who would be able to tell?
