Hello, I have just ran into a rather interesting problem. From time to time I would click on Community and then click on Global Community which can be found when using the Vier Theme. Now I don't know if the Global Community tab is any other Theme but it seems to be the only time I see Google Chrome shoot over a gig of ram and makes it go to a crawl. Everywhere else in the Theme it hovers between 700 to 900 meg. I was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem with the Vier Theme and mind you the is just a recent problem as this was not happening when I first started using the Theme a couple of years ago.

@scifijunkie I would try with the frio theme, see if the difference is also significative from the other pages. You should be able to find the community page again, and if not, you can use the same URL.

@scifijunkie A cursory inspection in the Profiler of Vivaldi (Chrome-based) doesn't show any particular spike in memory consumption when I open my Global community page, if I read the graphs correctly. The tab itself takes about 100MB of memory (as much as other Friendica tabs), but I don't know how much of the 1.1 GB of GPU memory is used for this specific tab as the task manager doesn't have this kind of breakdown.

@hypolite Well, I finally had time to go ahead and try out the other themes. The problem is the same in all of them in one form or another. They're all fine until you go to the Global Community page. In Frio it starts out fine then it makes the Google Chrome tab go to a crawl while it acts like it wants to eat all the ram. The rest of the themes do the same thing except that they fail to finish loading part of the page or the more it loads eats more ram. I don't know but maybe it's a memory leak when it comes to the Global Community page somehow.
