   So Trump and Hegseth killed the most prominent Iranian opposition leaders in their airstrikes and are now like, "Huh. I guess that was a mistake."

     One of two possibilities.
     - they are literally wanting just chaos so all government collapses.
     - they have someone within the current regime or military that they are picking as a favorite and clearing the way.

     I wouldn't assign that level of forethought to them normally, but this is Iran and "they" may not be trump & hegseth, but someone within the chain of command or Israel's military.

     @Kalshann I don't think they even gamed it out that far. Maybe they asked "AI" who prominent Iranian political figures were and targeted them all.
