@clawfulneutral there is a reason people tried trump, especially over kamala. there was a pervasive feeling that she was just the same old shit and people gave up and wanted a completely different thing.

@sun @clawfulneutral that works for Hillary vs. Trump, but in 2024 Kamala was more of an unknown than Trump.

I think the main domestic difference would be Kamala tossing red meat to insane leftists which is both more harmful in the long run and less systematically opposed than Trump's red meat to rightists. There isn't a revolting judiciary, or defiant governors, or reckless protests, or a wailing media, or an adversarial Congress, when a Democratic President maliciously puts the screws to political enemies in the country. Trump's been dumb as shit but he's also done some good and exposed a ton of evil, and I think the truly awful stuff he's still done was in line with US continuity of agenda and would have happened anyway. Even digital ID would be happening "to combat extremist rhetoric" instead of "to protect children".

In foreign policy, other countries would like us a lot more, and the world economy wouldn't have been whimsically jerked around by chaotic tariff adjustments, and maybe the wars would've had less capeshit lawlessness.

@apropos @clawfulneutral there ARE some interesting bots right now running for democrats saying things like "I am republican and NEVER voted for him, I always saw what he was" wait a minute, you're against him now that he's almost perfectly aligned with neocons? lol

@sun @clawfulneutral oh yeah, Israel wasn't clearly indicated on the ticket at all. Both Trump himself and his VP and many members of his administration ran against what he's doing right now.

@sun @clawfulneutral It's not that they wanted a different thing it was more so of knowing the devil you already knew. We already had Trump once. We had 4 years of weekend at Biden's with the autopen and Cackles. Their mismanagement of Covid especially regarding the vaccine mandates is what set me over the edge with the dems. I voted for Trump 3 times only the first time did I vote for him with any optimism the 2nd and 3rd term were not with any eccentrism and I was wondering when he got re-elected how long he was gonna it was gonna take him to go back to his habits of performing auto-fellatio for Israel and it's lobbyists.

I liked populist candidate 2015 Trump. I really hate Zionist Neo-cons I remember well the Dubya/Cheney years from 2000-2008 since that was the formative years of my adolescence / early adulthood. Outside of evangelicals in the south and war hawks Dubya was not really liked except for a brief period after 9/11. I still think Israel and our own goverment was behind that one as they had the most to gain from it happening and laying the foundations to the orwellian / surveillance state nightmware we are living today with the patriot act and the push for AI / digital identification.

President Trump in 2026 has strayed so far away from the populist 2015 candidate version of him. I got a lot of family who still blindly support him and have butted heads since I don't blindly think everything he does is great. The far left media's constant muddying the waters with criticisms on the retarded identity politics and not the legit problems was likely intentional to help push along their agenda.

I really hate the identity politics on the left and it's not just me but a lot of moderates as well. Their constant barraging of people just wanting to mind their own business with their bullshit pushed people towards the conservatives kind of creating their own problem. The biggest thing I butt heads with on conservatives right now is the Israel issue.

I kind of wish this country had a better class of politicians and leaders who actually worked for their own countrymen and not Davos and Tel-Aviv.

I would say MSNBC is probably worse than CNN but CNN has larger brand name recognition. I also wouldn't discredit the breadtuber crowd either that was a driving force for the neo-bolsheivik identity politics being pushing in the mainsteam in the mid to late 2010s. To be fair all of thise shit started after Occupy Wall St. and our own government running psyops with the progresive stack on it's own population to distract them from being angry at Wall st. and the fed for the wealth transfer schemes and bank bailouts.

I was back in college when OWS happened and I agreed with the initial sentiment but it got turned into a clown show due to the progressive stack psyops coming in and shitting it up. Funny enough it was after that time to I stopped really watching mainstream news outlets because they were trying to push twitter comments as news and I thought that shit was retarded... I still do
