I would really like it if white Americans would stop fake begging other settler or colonialist countries to invade us. Yes, they have healthcare, but if you truly believe they have their shit together I have a bridge to sell you.

So many people here are like, oh I wish I could move to (another country, that is also having a hard far right turn, and anti-immigrant horrors, just in a language they don’t speak)
It’s totally fine to feel you need to get away for safety and yes white cis Americans will likely face less of a threat in many places
However
I’m so irritated by the pretense that all of the current problems in the world are limited to US borders. We are going through a rough time of it.. but a lot of these problems are structurally global. ‘America is the worst’ is also a form of American exceptionalism.

Who has more of our shit together? There’s this small miracle called EU which helps keep somewhat centrist approach. But it’s not as tough as people think.

They’re not going to be any better to any other immigrant other than the ones who invest millions of dollars. This is happening across the world (limiting legal immigration, being inhumane to refugees and asylum seekers, and only opening doors for highly skilled and rich people)
