@eee @PunishedD @Paultron I don't think they could wrap you up with trafficking weapons, because that would require that they label a 3d printer as a weapon.
But they would certainly charge you with something worse than they give all the foreigners carrying counterfitted goods in nyc

@Paultron @eee @sickburnbro What's to stop anyone from driving across state lines, picking up a normal 3d printer, and driving back into NY?

@PunishedD @Paultron @sickburnbro you're now in violation of fun laws, trafficking weapons across state borders

@eee @sickburnbro yeah but they don't know how to do this and won't bother
New York state is just gonna force a few manufacturers to make "new York safe" models that cost more, effectively making new Yorkers that want a 3d printer to pay a tax that definitely absolutely won't be redirected to a personal slush fund

@sickburnbro the argument goes further, certain files will be indexed and become illegal to own
hash values of those files will be required to be included in all printer software as a blacklist
the next step is microsoft defender scanning everyone's drive for badthink in files

@eee @PunishedD @Paultron for sure. They would certainly throw you in the slammer for "being too cool" and it would carry 100 years.
