     @ppatel @pixelate For some reason I didn't realize or forgot it was a series while reading the first one. I mean, it works pretty well as a story on its own mostly. Then of course I realized it was a series, and an unconventional 1 at that, by the middle of book 2. At least I've never read 1 quite like it. But it wasn't 'til a few books later that people on Reddit let me know just how massive it is.

     @Fragglemuppet @pixelate I think it being a major commitment is a significant part of why I'm not getting into the series. When reading it, a part of my brain realized that fact. There are so many other good series that I could be reading.
