I was in the 7th grade when it came out. I thought it was pretty bad ... only watched one season. -

@PNS @djsumdog 13,965,000 nerds had high hopes and nothing better to do that night. I remember a friend saying we should go to see it at the planetarium. Apparently played across the sky dome like a laser show but it was at the exact time it was airing on network TV so why bother? Nothing special about Voyager except it got that loser producer away from DS9 so they could clandestinally script out the entire Dominion War which he would have never allowed. They'd even lie when he status called 'em

@PNS @klaatu @djsumdog Which is why she was brought on in season 4.
FWIW, the cat suit was what brought back viewers, but her character and acting ability made the show interesting. One thing ST has always been good at is the outsider struggle.

@PNS @klaatu @djsumdog And replicators! I know they addressed it but still, at that point I really doubt anyone would bother, except in a religious context like a wedding feast or something. And most "chefs" wouldn't really know the reason for cooking other than it is written in the sacred texts.
"And the seasoning of the meat will be through... and the temperature will be 350º no more, no less." - The cookbook of Julia, chapter 10 v 23.
