   Federal officers have shot another person in #Minneapolis amid the #Trump admin’s #immigration crackdown, Gov #TimWalz said Saturday.

   Walz said in a post that he had been in contact with the White House after the #shooting. He called on the Trump to end the crackdown in his state.

     The person shot dead by federal agents is not even who #DHS is saying he was.

     It has been confirmed that the victim was a 37-year-old US citizen white male.

     In #Minnesota, citizens require have a permit to legally carry a #handgun in public, acc/to the Minnesota Dept of #PublicSafety.

     The permit does not require the weapon to be concealed & it also serves as a permit to purchase a #firearm, meaning holders don’t need a separate purchase permit. Once issued, the permit is valid for 5 years & can be renewed.

     Interesting how the #SecondAmendment folks suddenly say carrying a gun is grounds for law enforcement to kill the carrier.

     The man shot by federal agents Saturday morning in #Minneapolis has died, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told CNN. #DHS claims the suspect was armed.

     Witnesses have been taken to the Whipple Federal Building.

     This is the 3rd #shooting involving federal agents in Minneapolis this month, after an #ICE agent fatally shot #ReneeGood in early Jan & another #ICE agent shot a Venezuelan migrant in the leg.

     After viewing that last video, I can’t do more today.

     He was taking video on his phone then tried to help another fellow human who had been violently pushed to the ground by #ICE. The “agents” then pepper sprayed him directly in the face, & once he was down on the ground shot him at least 5 times until he was dead. He never drew a weapon.

     This is a murderous government.

     I am afraid.

     It apparently was found via a Google Images reverse image search

     #Federal ofcls sought to portray #AlexPretti as a domestic terrorist, saying he had approached agents with a “semi-automatic handgun” & the intent to “massacre” them. But videos analyzed by NYT contradict their account. They show Pretti holding a phone in his hand, not a gun, when agents take him to the ground & strike him. One agent appears to remove a gun from near Pretti’s right hip [holstered]. At the same time, another agent draws his firearm, points it at Pretti’s back & repeatedly fires.
