    My Uber driver in Las Vegas was wearing a mask when I got in his car, long before he saw mine

    And while this was heartening, he was wearing it below his nose, so I'm not really sure how much good he was doing himself

    I was exhausted from a long travel day, and I was angsty that my phone battery was about to die (a problem because I need it alive when I get home to get into my house, kinda, don't ask) so I didn't have the heart to talk to him about it

    I feel a little bad about that

      @jonobie
      I don't think I've seen anyone wearing one below their nose in a few years, and if someone was doing it that way back in 2021-2022, it was to "abide" by regulations rather than for personal safety

      Which is my way of saying it hasn't come up before

      @kims I'm curious, have you talked to other people about below-nose masks? How does that conversation go? (I've often wondered what prompts people to wear them that way, but have never felt up for the convo.)

      @Life_is
      At home I charge my phone on a small wireless charging thing that I also bring with me when I travel (like this one, but not this exact model) and I've gotten out of the habit of having a cord with me (else I could have charged it on the plane)

      I have definitely learned my lesson

      @kims@mas.to "battery about to die" no powerbank? I think it is a reasonable precation not to leave the house without. There are powerbanks the size of a cigarette lighter.
