This is my core gripe with the Tomb Raider franchise. "Core Lara" is MY Tomb Raider. That's the games I love, and the character I felt empowered by when I was younger. The other Laras can be enjoyable games, but they are not the real Tomb Raider.
@bebadefabo If you are a trophy hunter, you're going to want the PS4 version instead of the PS5. They are nearly identical otherwise (I sure as shit can't tell the difference side by side in a standard playing scinario).
The modern controls are trash, set it to tank.
They are very faithful, even the exploitable bugs are still there. The options key switches between remater graphics and original. The original has simply had the camera widened to 16x9. You can switch on the fly
@bebadefabo The fact you can switch back and fourth so easily is very helpful if your memory of things is based on the original appearance!
Only major visual BS is in remastered mode, water is often damn near invisible, and some of the temporarily invisible blocks are very hard to see when something makes them visible. It didn't affect gameplay enough to piss me off.
