   #NowPlaying Smashing Pumpkins: Siamese Dream.

   Did I just go from Sarah Vaughan to this? Yes. Yes I did.

   The mix is very different from the original CD that I must have listened to a bajillionty times since it’s come out. I’d put it on endless repeat at the video store (yes, I lived Clerks whilst attending university). The lower mids are much more full, but also more discrete. The wash of guitar distortion is still there, but maybe a bit more compressed for vinyl.

     @octothorpe I have heard nothing but bad things about him from people who've met him.

     Also he played the literal worst live concert I ever saw, so I don't like him much.

     But Mellon Collie was dang good and I liked his cover of 'Landslide'.

     @FlashMobOfOne oh yeah. He’s a total fucker. Your concert wasn’t the first one he had a tantrum in.

     Hell, even the ‘bootleg’ ‘Drown’ double-live album (back when you’d find mysterious CDs made in Germany in the bin of your local indie record shop) — which is probably their best album ever — has him getting petulant toward the audience.

     I mean, sure, audiences can also be jerks, but still.
