   Been reading some Warhammer 40k short stories and I stumbled on this alternative game with it's own neat set of lore articles: https://www.trenchcrusade.com/lore/
   
   Not that I play tabletop, but it's cool how they give away the rulebooks and sell STL files for their models. The contrast to the scum that is Games Workshop is obvious.

     @crunklord420 the creators of this game are turbo shitlibs who banned all suspected chuds from their community and have been trying to make the game less attractive to them ever since, this game actually became popular more because of the art than the game itself

     @crunklord420 @deadheat There's been a surprising amount of drama over TC. Or an unsurprising amount, given it's tabletop gaming and TTG is full of hardcore autists.

     @crunklord420 @PunishedD @deadheat paint is actually cool and not a waste of money it's just the shitty plastic models that are no good and they have the normal problems with books that have bullshit in them and tournament metagames. It has all the bullshit MtG does but also has extra bullshit.
     
     If what you want is to have fun with the nerdiest people you know for hours and hours just play the boxed Mage Knight card/board games.
