      @danielquinn Wow, I’m so sorry you had to go though that.

      Mine’s far less dramatic. Just a bruised tendon most likely. Not even sure the boot was necessary.

      (But I’ll keep an eye out for any similar symptoms and thank you so much for the warning.) :)

      @aral if you, like me, had a doctor that didn't prescribe blood thinners, I *strongly* recommend that you either (a) insist on them, or at least (b) ensure that you've got a competent doctor who can prescribe them should you develop clots.
