   OK, I knew Apple was joining other tech companies and forging ahead with AI-ifying. This news still made me sad. Apple, you just gave me one more reason I won't be upgrading to iOS 26 (or macOS 26).

     @firefly I only use Siri for driving instructions to complement Apple Maps, and it's quite good for that. And it works fine just as it is, no AI enhancements wanted or needed.

     I don't use Siri on my Mac at all.

     Here's hoping we can still keep our devices AI-free. It'll be a sad day if/when we can't.

     Gross. I’ve never used Siri on my phone anyway, so nothing lost.

     I wonder if we are going to reach a point where AI is the default and you can’t turn it off😬. I guess that’s when I’ll get rid of my phone altogether.
