@mangeurdenuage Malware? Such exploit ideally wouldn't actually execute any code - if you can manage to overflow in a way that overwrites a text string in a display buffer, ideally your message would be displayed and nothing more.

@Suiseiseki Malware to actually do good hasn't been done in a long time.
If someone does it, it must not be annoying or at least it must not be detected as such. That's why malware dev legalized themselves and are legal entities that shit off crap, be it for OS's or JS browsers.
You also have to consider the language barrier, I'm not sure third world countries that install µtorrent know they installed malware.
A smarter way to do it would be that the software would install a free/libre client instead, with the same interface to go further, and at some point to have an update that would say "we rebranded as transmission/deluge/qbitorrent" and it would switch to the original UI, also add a redirection for µtorrent's website so it redirects to the proper website to avoid user confusion.
Tons of stuff like that can be done but it's not done because, it's still not legal, thus risky, and also no money.
But I think there's a way to make it legal if you just copy the models that the other malware entities did, thus you'll also pass anti malware detection garbage like they do.
