Some girl rode by screaming and loudly sobbing on an ebike, going quite fast in one direction. A few minutes later she rode by in another direction, still screaming and loudly sobbing and going fast.

@MLE_online She found out that USPS changed the rule about postmarked mail? I feel the same way.

@MLE_online It's now considered postmarked only when it is processed at one of their automated centers. Mail-in ballots will be affected, along with countless other time-critical mail where the postmark date matters.

@MLE_online They say they are clarifying what they consider a postmark to be. Then they say it doesn't mean they hadn't accepted it earlier, but that they don't (or won't, I guess) postmark mail right when it is received. Anyone could run a post office better.

@MLE_online @steter It has nothing to do with ballots, and everything to do with how they are measured for compliance with their service standards.

Also, the date you dropped a piece in the blue box has not necessarily been the date the stamp was canceled for some time now. In many metropolitan areas, they ship that mail to a central facility, and it may not get processed until sometime overnight.
