Not so much that they lost control but that for the first time their narrative was so far removed from the general population that their traditional leverages couldn’t extend far enough to accommodate the new extreme.

I honestly think that some part of the male brain intended to express attraction of the feminine form, by evolutionary reasons, is being short circuited to interpret female traits within one’s own body as desirable. I identify a mix of the relative decline of access to female peers for a majority of modern young men, as well as several other factors I’ll refrain from listing in order keep this from getting too long.
